I call this "Luminous Egret" because when I view this photo on my computer the feathers on the bottom seemed to be illuminating light. Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge is one of my favorite places to photograph, because even in November, the lighting, colors and wildlife make it a worthwhile trip. The Egret here was kind enough to stand in front of the water, making a great solid backdrop, due to the trees and tall grass on the other side of the water, their reflection on the water created a natural dark frame to the top and left side, then the grass created a bottom frame. I could not have planned this.
