Description
On a recent trip to find Sandhill Cranes at Sandy Ridge Reservation in North Ridgeville, OH., I came upon this Black-capped Chickadee waiting for his turn at the feeder outside the ranger station. Because of the time of day, the lighting as well as the brown building created a wonderful backdrop for this little bird, creating a softer brown than the building really is. When I went to review the photo, I was also struck by how the branch seems to be floating in this photo as well as the little bit of moss at the top adding color. Turned out to be one of my favorite photos of the day, now I just have to find a brighter day for photographing the Cranes!
