While on a quest to photograph Sandhill Cranes at Sandy Ridge Reservation in North Ridgeville, OH., I came upon this tufted titmouse enjoying the feeder. When I got home to review the photos a couple of things struck me, his stare, I usually pinpoint the focus of the camera on the animals eye, but with such a small animal, I have to use a larger focus range. Second, his ability to hang on to the feeder! And third, woo hoo, I did succeed to time it as I was hoping and do have him just after capturing some food with his beak. I was also pleasantly surprised to see how warm the background came out! Even though digital allows us to see the photos right away, it is not until you can see them on your computer that you truly understand what has been accomplished.
