This photo is from my 2023 devotional Calendar, the following is what inspired this picture: One of the greatest things many of us struggle with is being at peace. This world is in constant chaos. Our lives are often disturbed by accidents, hurts, disappointments, loss, and so much more. Yet, when I can grab my camera and find a beautiful, quiet place, I am at peace. God says in Philippians 4:7, “The peace of God…shall keep (guard, protect, watch) your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” He promises that no matter the situation, (I could be in the midst of a war-zone!) God can keep my heart in perfect peace.

About Yvonne M Smith
It is my aim and desire through photography to bring glory to God. The journey that brought me here started with a Canon AE-1, my first "real" camera. Prior to that I was using instamatics from Kodak and any other camera I was able to get my hands on. I had taken the AE-1 from my Dad after seeing some pictures he had taken. My parents encouraged this new hobby by enrolling me, while I was still in High School, in a college photography course. That Christmas they bought me a new Canon AE-1P, this time it was programmable! This led to majoring in photography at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
