Artist's Description

This photo is from my 2023 devotional Calendar, the following is what inspired this picture:
"As I consider the freshly fallen white snow, I am reminded of 1 John 1:9. So often I weigh myself down with memories of mistakes or wrongs that I’ve done. God, however, knew I would never be perfect. Hence, why He sent His Son to die for me and for the whole world. After accepting Christ as my Savior, He also knew I would need continuous help on this journey with Him and through Him. He is always there to listen to what I’ve done and to forgive me. It is because of His forgiveness that I can walk forward white as snow. I do not have to live in the shame of the wrongs I have done, but rather I can learn from them and move on guiltless and free. May you find peace from guilt and shame through His salvation and instead Freedom in Christ." (photo taken at Lake Loramie State Park, OH)

My parents encouraged this new hobby by enrolling me, while I was still in High School, in a college photography course. That Christmas they bought me a new Canon AE-1P, this time it was programmable! This led to majoring in photography at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. I started out in Photojournalism, but soon realized I was drawn more to the artistic aspects of photography. After University I was able to...
