This beautiful castle rests along the Rhein River in Bacharach, Germany. It is now a Jugendherberge or Youth Hostel that can be a stop over for visitors to this region, it is also available for families to stay at. It was built in the 12th century and it's name means: "impregnable castle on a crag". One of my favorite castles when I would drive along the Rhein or take guests on one of the local boat tours.
It is my aim and desire through photography to bring glory to God. The journey that brought me here started with a Canon AE-1, my first "real" camera. Prior to that I was using instamatics from Kodak and any other camera I was able to get my hands on. I had taken the AE-1 from my Dad after seeing some pictures he had taken. My parents encouraged this new hobby by enrolling me, while I was still in High School, in a college photography course. That Christmas they bought me a new Canon AE-1P, this time it was programmable! This led to majoring in photography at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. I started out in Photojournalism, but soon realized I was drawn more to the artistic aspects of photography. After University I was able to...
